Bahama Mama’s fresh juice bar logo design identity and branding

The client wanted to open fresh juice outlets in Cairo. Fruit juice was common in the city, but none had any distinct identity and were mostly traditional outlets. Because they wanted Bahama Mama to go the other way, they asked for an identity that would later be expanded to a franchise. The brief was to develop a vibrant logo, and roll it out on packaging for their bottled juices.

Our approach

So we created an exotic character, the “Mama” from the Bahamas. And, we designed the exotic and colourful silhouette of the Mama, that also reflects the vibrant life in Cairo. We adapted Mama’s big hair in the executions, changing colours, adding texture. For the bottles, we made a die cut of the hair. The juice’s colour would change the logo on these custom filled containers.
